Polyne® Vertical Polypropylene Pumps | ||
|
Polyne®
single stage vertical process pumps are designed for heavy duty service in handling corrosive fluids and hazardous
chemicals stored in sumps or tanks.
Polyne® sump pumps have similar design features as that of the horizontal centrifugal pump series. Polyne® sump pumps are sealless suitable for wet pit installations with support column length upto 3 metres. Where applications require pumps longer than standard lengths suitable suction extension lengths can be provided. A semi open impeller with relief holes to balance axial thrust and double volute construction to balance radial load ensures vibration free operation of the pump. The thrust bearings absorb residual axial thrust. Precision alignment of the sleeve bearings and the thrust bearings ensures stress free operation and a long life of the pump. Lubrication of the sleeve bearings is brought about by utilizing the liquid being pumped as a libricant. In case where there is a high percentage of foreign contaminates an external water source is used to lubricate and cool the bearings. Instead of bare metal shaft, polyne® uses a polypropylene sleeve to isolate the metal from the solution. This construction eliminates troublesome corrosion of the shaft. The pump head bolts are of high strength engineering plastic. The Sleeve bearings are offered in variety of corrosion resistant materials like Ceramics, Haste-alloy, Carbon and Teflon. Polyne® sump pumps can be clamp mounted, externally mounted or top cover mounted. Normally the sump pump mouths on top of a tank or sump by means of a cover plate which confines vapours and fumes. Standard covers are rectangular. Polyne® vertical polypropylene pumps are trouble free in waste sumps. |
